Enhanced Sustainability of natural resource use, increased farm profitability, and improved livelihoods of resource-poor farmers through large scale adoption of conservation agriculture (CA) technologies capitalizing on the system synergies of crops, livestock and soils in the drylands of Central and West Asia and North Africa (CWANA). This project will support directly two of the main development objectives of IFAD’s strategic framework, Objective 1 for Strengthened NR and Economic base –i.e. resilience to CC, environmental degradation, market transformation and Objective 3 (Poor rural women and men and their organizations able to manage profitable, sustainable and resilient farm and non-farm enterprises or take advantage of decent work opportunities). In addition, the project will make a significant contribution in five of the eight themes of the IFAD Strategic Framework.
